Stamps!
Inspired by friendsLisa & Deborah (peer pressure is more like it), I made my own stamp today. It is the first time I have done this & I'm pretty happy the way it turned out. I channeled my love of sprockets coupled with a kind of zebra pattern. Using my Michaels coupon I bought this Speedball cutter, it was in the art section by the print making stuff. I used a block of Speedball Speedy Curve. Basically a block of pink material that you carve your stamp out of. You can go on YouTube & see videos to learn how to. I drew the picture on the block copying a stencil to get the sprocket & than cut it out. I found it quite relaxing actually although I do tend to be a bit perfectionist with these things so I had to let that go & just carve. I am very happy with the results, I will post the art journal page I did soon!
