Spooky!

Here is my Dteam project for ScrapbooksPlus.
This was my page map layout for the month. I used the Fancy Pants Oct. 31st, beautiful purple paper-Eerie as my background. Laying a mask down I sprayed with glimmer mist to create the swirl. The photos were matted on magic & adhered to the background. I added the rub-on swirl, magic & spider web that comes with the collection. Using a border punch to punch out the fence from the black side of Jack-o-lantern gave my raven something to sit on. The raven was mounted on chipboard & die cut. One of my favorite techniques is to spritz an embossed image with perfect pearls mist-it makes the embossing show so much better & adds a fantastic shimmer without changing the paper color too much. Finally my title is from the chipboard collection. Enjoy!
Supplies:
Paper, chipboard embellishments & rub-ons- Fancy Pants
Die Cut -THoltz for sizzix.
Glimmer Mist- Deep Plum
Perfect Pearls Mist-Sunflower Sparkle
Punch-Martha Stewart.

Art Journal Club!

I am teaching a monthly Art Journal class that is like a club. I pick a product every month & demo the tar out of it. I research & find all kinds of new ways to use said product and invent cool new ones usually by accident.

I make a couple of class samples as a spring board to help get people started. Then I do a bunch of samples-either tags or just backgrounds to illustrate the technique. Last month I did a page that had almost all the techniques on the one page-way cool! I had taken an awesome class by Dyan Reavely and I knew I had to incorporate her into my art journal club! She is from the UK & is Ranger's Senior Educator in Europe, has her own store, teaches, designs-super woman basically. Her stamps are fun, and eclectic. Honestly not my style at first glance but I am loving them!!!

The product we used was distress stains by Ranger, not just as a background but to stain wood, paint the stamped images, stain chipboard...on & on. All the stamps I used on these pages are Dyans her line from Stampers Anonymous called Dylusions. Perfect for art journal!

I am having a great time teaching this class to this wonderful group of ladies! Total pleasure-& the best part is I get to play & get inky- a lot!!!

Finish!

Here you go the last few days of procrastination is complete. Now I will try & get my blogging act together!!!

July 30th-ok here is a compilation of incomplete pages. That is what art journaling can be about, I get an idea, start a page & move on to something else. It could be another page or those 10,000 things I have to get done in a day. The page is started & there to be worked on the next time it grabs my attention. My life is chaotic & so are my journals but that is ok- just go with it! Hooray 30 days of art is officially in the blog. I learned that I have no problem getting the art done it is keeping up with the blogging that is a challenge for me. That,s ok!!! Movin on!

July 29th-This is a bit of a cheat. I didn't write down what I did but I know I did it! So this layout was started way back at the beginning of July but took a lot of work, stop, work. It counts! This page was inspired by Teesha Moores Utube series. Go from the painted video to collage (4parts) to journal page (4parts). There is a video missing along the way-I think it is the last one, but you can do it anyway. I love this layout cause it is so far out of the box for me I can hardly stand it. My favorite part is the Geico Gecko at the base of the butterfly. Couldn't bear to alter him he is perfect. The mushrooms were actually a part of a stamp by Outlines, very cool. Most of the pen work is the Sharpie Poster Paints which work fantastically!
