I am just recovering from my intensive 5 day trip down to NC for Inspired. Deborah Mahnken, & Lisa Hausman joined me for this great 3 days of totally intensive art classes. We learned a ton, bought a ton & came home with a ton of "freebies". The best part was we 3 had a great time, laughed, & laughed. I mean if you are going to an artist workshop you would think it would be easy to be happy right? Well this event did sadly make me realize yet again that there are a lot of unhappy people in this world. Despite the grumpy Gusse's, & negative Nellie's, we stayed true to ourselves, fighting to be happy the whole time. Even on day 3 when we were dragging from emotional overload the 3 of us stayed positive & had fun. Yayay we win!!!
Here we have Deborah, Tracie, Lisa, & me. This was a class we did with the amazing Tracie Lampe using plastic bags! There was quite the controversy whether mine had trees, clouds or lollipops - they are poppies!!! Hello inspired logo... A great way to recycle!
This was a cool class where we learned how to paint on canvas & muslin to create our own fabric that could be used as journal covers, to make bags...the teacher is Alisa Burke & she was super nice & we learned a lot about stencils...& lumiere paints-nummy such shimmery goodness.
Here is some of our hard work. Pretty cool techniques! One of our favorite classes was the encaustic class where we learned how to work with hot beeswax. This is something I been looking forward to & it was great to finally get started!
