Playing with Chipboard Art Journal

Hello Blog land, playing with chipboard art journal page!! I am up today with a full tutorial on the Southern Ridge Trading Co. blog. I have a fun way to colorize your chipboard with alcohol inks. Also do you love using glass bead gel & want a way to give it a color tint? Check it out!

One of the things I love about summer is my garden. I am not a very skilled gardener as I don't like playing in the dirt much, and have little patience for things like watering,  but I love flowers! Here is a pic of one of my few lily's that the dratted deer didn't eat. They came along one night and lobbed off about 40 buds. I about cried! They had never messed with them before so, they had not been sprayed. I guess Bambi got mad at me for spraying their other favs & took it out on my lily's.  I will also be entering this page in Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge: Flora & Fauna & Anything But Cute challenge Summertime Fun. This is my first time playing along there, thanks for the info Sara Barker!

If you want to see lots more of my art follow me on Instagram, I am posting #100daysofkarensart as a part of "the 100 day project". Link on the right side of my blog.  I hope you are having a wonderful summer, with lots of colorful flowers & some time to get inky!

  5. What a fantastic creation! I enjoyed seeing it so much, and enjoyed reading your post, too. I could relate to your not-exuberant-about-gardening attitude since I am the exact same way, but what a gift it is for you to still be able to create beautiful things with a flower theme! Who needs real gardening when you pay homage through art? This is stunning and I'm so glad you shared it with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
